Governor Mifflin High School / Alvernia College / New York Mets & Miami Marlins
Graduated from Governor Mifflin High School in 2004 and then attended Alvernia College from 2005-2007. First team All American all three seasons and in 2007 was D3.com National Player of the Year. In 2013 was named to the second team all decade team from D3.com. Drafted by the New York Mets in the fifth round of the 2007 MLB draft. Played with the organization for eight years and made his MLB debut in 2012. Played overseas in Japan for the Rakuten Eagles of the NPB in 2014, and the Doosan Bears in Korea of the KBO in 2015. In 2016 played in the Miami Marlins organization for the Triple A affiliate the New Orleans Zephyrs.

Scott Gorgen

University of California – Irvine / St. Louis Cardinals
Scott Gorgen played D1 college baseball at University of California Irvine where he was a member of the 2007 team that played in the College World Series. He finished his college career with a 2.56 ERA and was drafted in the 4th round of the MLB draft by the St. Louis Cardinals. Scott went on to play at various levels of the minor leagues from 2008-2014 where his ERA was a combined 3.54.

Pat Gorman

Albertus Magnus High School / Rockland Community College / New York Mets & Baltimore Orioles
Pat went to Albertus Magnus HS in Rockland County NY where his team won the League Championship twice and he received honors such as All League, All County, All Section, All State, Team MVP, Tom Collins Award for athletic Excellence, and Section one Pitcher of the year in 1995 with a 0.29 era. He then continued on at Rockland Community College where his team won the Region championship and was drafted by the NY Mets after his freshman year. After several years in the Mets and Orioles organizations Pat retired in 2003 due to injuries and began his coaching career. Pat became the Pitching Coach at Nyack College for two years in 2003 & 2004 where they won a conference championship for the first time in school history.He also coached the Rockland Brewers to the NABF College WS in Toledo Ohio where he stayed for three years before transitioning to younger teams. Throughout the past seven years Pat has coached a number of different youth teams in Rockland County.

Devin Coyne

Nansemond Suffolk Academy / Widener University
Devin had a four-year playing career at Widener University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. She led the Pride to reach the Mid-Atlantic Conference Tournament all four years; winning the school’s first conference title in 2017. During her senior year, she had a season that culminated in a 2017 NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament appearance. Coyne appeared in 49 games throughout her career, picking up 10 wins and 5 saves while finishing with a career batting average of .340! Devin graduated from Nansemond Suffolk Academy in Virginia in 2013 where she was the primary pitcher for the team and contributed to a second place state finish her junior year.

Philadelphia University
Desmond grew up in Philadelphia and after high school went on to be a four year starter at Philadelphia University where he was a three-time Hitter of the Week, two-time Pitcher of the Week, and one-time Defensive Player of the Week. After college, Desmond played two years of professional Independent League baseball before joining us at ASBA.

Billy Greenfield

Radnor High School / Furman University / Buchbinder Legionare (Germany)
Billy played at Radnor High School, earning All-Central League and All-Delco before graduating in 2013. He played college baseball for four years at Furman University, and is 6th in school history in appearances. This past year he played professionally for the Buchbinder Legionare in Regensburg, Germany. He also played for the Irish National team in the summer of 2018 in the European Championship.

Jennifer was the starting center-fielder for Widener University from 2009-2013. In her sophomore year she made 2nd team All Common Wealth Conference. Jennifer’s overall batting average was .283 and was error free in the field her senior year.

Paschal was a four year starter at Jacksonville State University where he played 1B and DH in the Ohio Valley Conference. During his career he won numerous awards including the Louisville Slugger Freshman All American award.

Sean was a Middle Infielder for four years at Wesley College. During his time there he earned All Conference accolades from 2005-2006. Prior to his time at Wesley Sean graduated from West Deptford High School and participated in the American Legion World Series.

A graduate of Cardinal O’Hara High School, Josh went on to play collegiately for Marist College where he was First-Team All-Conference, All-Northeast Second-Team and Marist Player of the Year. Following his collegiate career, Josh played professionally in Europe, as well as for the Lake Erie Crushers.

Wilson High School / Eastern University
Ian grew up playing travel baseball in Berks County, PA and pitched for Wilson High School. He played collegiate ball at Eastern university where he was a left handed pitcher and was named to the Academic MAC Honor Roll. Throughout his baseball career, Ian has relied on his ability to keep hitters “off-balance” in relief and starting roles. His favorite accomplishment in baseball was pitching 4 shutout innings in relief to secure the win against the #1 team in the state in high school.

Merion Mercy Academy / Franklin & Marshall College
Erin was a starting infielder and catcher for all four years at Franklin & Marshall College. She achieved 1st Team All-Conference as a catcher her sophomore year, and was a team captain her sophomore through senior year. She was also apart of the 2017 Conference Champion Team. Erin finished her collegiate career with a .333 batting average and .940 fielding percentage.

Springfield High School / Harford Community College & West Chester University
Joe graduated from Springfield High School in 2013. In 2012 he was a first team All-State infielder with a batting average of .627. He then attended Harford Community College from 2013-2015 and helped lead Harford to a Regional Championship. After Harford Joe went on to attend West Chester University from 2015-2017 and was a two year starter at 2nd base. During his time there, they won the 2017 Division 2 National Championship.

Downingtown East High School / University Of Notre Dame
Matt grew up in Glenmoore, and played four years of baseball at Downingtown East from 2007-2011, where he helped Downingtown reach the AAAA state quarterfinals in 2010 He then went on to play at the University of Notre Dame from 2011-2015, was a Big East Academic All Star in 2012 and helped the Irish to an NCAA Tournament bid in 2015. Matt is an ASBA Alum, playing for and coaching with Mike Manning for several years.

Haddonfield Memorial HS / Rutgers University – Camden
Carter was a three year varsity player at Haddonfield Memorial High School before moving on to play four years of collegiate baseball at Rutgers University – Camden. While in college, Carter was selected as NJAC Rookie 1st Team All-Conference pitcher in 2015. He was also the winning pitcher in a 13 inning game to win the NJAC Conference in which he threw 9 innings of scoreless relief.

Ss. Neumann and Goretti Catholic High School / Marist College
Charlie attended Neumann and Goretti Catholic High School before going on to play collegiate baseball at Marist College. At Marist, he received a variety of awards – 1st Team All-MAAC, MAAC Pitcher of the Year, 2nd Team All-ECAC, and 2nd Team All-MAAC. Charlie was also a part of the Marist team that won the 2017 MAAC Championship and is Top-5 in many school record categories.

Alex is a product of Cherry Hill East High School Baseball, where he was a Camden County All-Star his senior year as well as the David J. Martin Sportsmanship Award recipient. After high school Alex continued his baseball career at Wilkes University where played seven of the nine positions in the field in four years.

Trace has relocated to South Jersey from Indiana to take on the role as Business Associate & Instructor for ASBA Cherry Hill. The Northwest Indiana native was an All-Conference & All-Area infielder for North Newton High School during the 2007 & 2008 seasons. Trace went on to play for Ancilla College while finishing up his collegiate playing career with Holy Cross College (IN). Before working for ASBA, Trace was the Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator for Indiana University South Bend while also coaching for the South Bend Cubs Foundation during the summer months.

Devin Ruiz was a 4 year varsity player at Paul VI High School where he was 2014 All-Conference First Team and 2013 All-Conference Second Team. He was also 2014 Northeast Region Perfect Game Honorable Mention, and 2013 Perfect Game WWBA 17u All-Tournament Team. Devin went on to play collegiate baseball at UNC Greensboro, where he was 2016 Preseason All So Con 2nd Team and 2018 Preseason All So Con 1st Team.

Gloucester City High School / Rider University / The College of New Jersey
Adam was an all-state shortstop in 2005 for Gloucester City High School. A member of the 2005 Mid-Atlantic Regional Champions and World Series participant for Brooklawn American Legion, Adam made 1st Team All Legion in 2005. He graduated from The College of New Jersey, and was 2009 Hot Stovers D3 player of the year. Adam is currently the head baseball coach for Gloucester Catholic High School, where they were 2017 and 2018 state champions.

In 2011 Zach was an Group 1 State Champion at Audubon HS, 2012 Group 1 at Audubon HS, First-Time All-Conference in 2013 at Audubon HS, 2013 American Legion National Champion with the Brooklawn American Legion Team. Lead team in strikeouts for Rutgers-Camden in 2017 with 57 K’s in 55 innings. Zach’s philosophy is in a big game or a pressure situation, don’t underestimate the power of your breath. Don’t be afraid to step out of the box or step off the mound, take a deep breath and reset. Stay Composed so that you’re ready to compete and you’re ready to succeed.

A graduate of Kingsway Regional High School where he was a three-year varsity starter as a shortstop. Steve went on to play collegiately at Davis and Elkins College for two years as a shortstop and second baseman. Unfortunately, Steve was unable to finish his college baseball career due to injury. Before joining All-Star Baseball Academy, Steve coached high school summer baseball for three years.

James is from Bethlehem PA. He earned a Bachelors degree in Sports Management from Alvernia University. He broke the Alvernia University record for most runners thrown out, and most runners picked off in a single season. His brother is a professional wrestler and he is a die hard Red Sox fan.

Penn Manor HS / Coastal Carolina / USC Beaufort
Zach played high school baseball at Penn Manor HS where he was the 11th Ranked RHP in Pennsylvania in 2013. He went on to sign with Coastal Carolina University to play baseball there. While in college, Zac’s summer collegiate team – Top Speed – was ranked 5th in the nation and had a 43-3 record. Zac also says that signing his professional contract with the EPBL was one of accomplishments in his baseball career.

A graduate of Bishop Shanahan High School, Keith was a four-year varsity starter at shortstop and pitcher. He was a two-year team captain and MVP, and was a three-time SCCL First Team and two-time All-Area First Team. Keith went on to play collegiately at York College where he earned his degree in Marketing. While at York, Keith earned All-South Region Second Team pitching honors during his senior season and was a part of the winningest team in school history.

West Chester Henderson High School / Hofstra University
A 2010 graduate of Hofstra University, Stefanie helped the Pride to three CAA Championships and three NCAA appearances as an outfielder and designated hitter. She was named an NFCA Academic All-American all four years she was at Hofstra and received the CAA Student Athlete Award. After receiving her Bachelors in Marketing with a Minor in Fine Arts Stefanie went on to coach for two years at Bryant University and then joined the Johnson & Wales University softball staff as an assistant coach in the fall of 2014. A native of West Chester, PA she worked two seasons with the Wildcats in Rhode Island before joining All-Star.

Dan played baseball at Downingtown East High School where he was part of the Chesmont Champion team his senior year, and he was also part of the All-Chesmont team that year. He went on to play at Elizabethtown College where he threw a shutout against Shenandoah University his sophomore year. Dan is currently in a Masters’ Program and Air Force ROTC at Saint Joseph’s University.

Natalie graduated Magna Cum Laude from Post University in May of 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts; Psychology focus in Education. She was 4-year infield/outfield and started in 41 game since her freshman year. Natalie was named to the CACC All Academic Team all 4 years and was a 2 year Post LaMoy Female Athlete Award recipient. In 2016-2017, Natalie was team captain and was top 5 for runs scored, OBP, triples and fielding percentage. Natalie was a switch hitter with specialization in slap hitting, bunting, and power-hitting.

Eric was ranked the #7 pitcher in PA in his graduating class out of high school. He was awarded 2nd team all state his senior year at Downingtown East. Eric went onto play at Appalachian State and St. Joseph’s University where he appeared in 50 games throughout his time. He grew up playing for All-Star and his greatest accomplishment in baseball was beating Norte Dame his senior year.

Plymouth-Whitemarsh HS / Clemson University / Florida Southern College
After playing high school ball at Plymouth-Whitemarsh, Matt went on to play at Clemson University from 2007-2008 where he pitched in 27 games. After playing at Clemson, he played one year at Florida Southern College before moving on to play independent ball. In 2010, he played for the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks who went on to win the Northern League Championship that year. Matt was also selected to play in the Cape Cod Collegiate Baseball League in 2008.

Tyler was a pitcher at Lock Haven University while obtaining a Bachelors in Sports Management along with a Masters degree in Pre-Law. He was an assistant coach for his American Legion team during the summers of 2010 and 2011. As a lead instructor on many of our programs, he is also available for private pitching instruction for Little League players.

Joe Clancy is a Hopewell Valley (NJ) native. He played locally at The Lawrenceville School and received honors in the Mid-Atlantic Prep League. Joe went on to play collegiately at Eastern University and graduated in 2017. At Eastern Joe pitched, became a senior captain, and helped the team reach its first MAC-Freedom conference playoff berth in program history. Desmond grew up in Philadelphia and after high school went on to be a four year starter at Philadelphia University where he was a three-time Hitter of the Week, two-time Pitcher of the Week, and one-time Defensive Player of the Week. After college, Desmond played two years of professional Independent League baseball before joining us at ASBA.

Enzo Esposito

Notre Dame School / Post University
Enzo is a graduate of the Notre Dame School in NJ, and he went on to play collegiate baseball at Post University. At Post, Enzo set a school record with 16 strikeouts in one game. He also played in the NECBL and was the first player in his university’s history to play in the Cape Cod Baseball League.

Ryan Giblin

Neshaminy HS / Mansfield University / Windy City Thunderbolts
Ryan was a walk on at Mansfield University and played baseball there from 2003 to 2008. He was a three time All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference selection at SS, and was his team captain, 1st Team All-North Atlantic Region, and a NCBWA DII All-American Honorable Mention in 2008. He signed with the Windy City Thunderbolts of the Frontier League in 2008 and went on to be a Student Assistant at Millersville University. Ryan later became an Assistant baseball coach at West Chester University, where his team won the 2012 DII National Championship.

Monica Levins

Norristown High School / Philadelphia University
Monica graduated from Philadelphia University in 2017 where she was captain of the softball team from 2016-17. She appeared in 141 games during her tenure, batted .270 with a .301 on-base percentage and 37 hits in her senior year with 12 extra-base hits including nine doubles, one triple and two home runs. She received CACC All Tournament Team in 2017. Beyond softball, Monica was president/founder for AAUW Women’s Rights Group at Philadelphia University in 2017

Deanna Myers

Deanna graduated from Holy Family University in 2013 where she still holds two softball records for most home runs in a single season (13 her freshman year) and most career home runs in four seasons, 24! In high school, Deanna was a four year varsity starter, was selected as a Suburban I All League First Team catcher and selected as Bucks County Courier Times All Area First Team catcher. With her travel team, Sports Connection, Deanna won back to back state championships in 2008 and 2009 along with competing in the 2008 Canada Cup.

Blaise was an ACC All-Academic student athlete at the University of Notre Dame. As a graduate student at Mercer University his team led the NCAA in home runs. Growing up he was a member of the 2005 Mid-Atlantic Little League World Series team.

Eric Ruth

North Penn High School / Winthrop University / New York Yankees
Eric was a graduate of North Penn High School and a member of the 2009 PIAA State Championship team. He then went on to spend four years at Winthrop University. Following his senior year, he signed as a free agent with the New York Yankees in 2013. In 2015 he earned a spot on the Eastern League AA All Star team. During his five seasons in the organization, he was able to make it to AAA.

Steven Wells

The Hun School / Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute / Philadelphia University
Steven is a graduate of Philadelphia University, now known as Thomas Jefferson University. He was a three year starter at PhilaU from 2015-2017. He transferred from Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute after his first year there from 2013-2014. While at PhilaU he was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association DII All-American Third Team. Steven was also named the American Baseball Coaches Association DII All-East Region Player of the Year and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association DII All-East Region Player of the Year all in 2017. At a conference level in 2017, he was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Year and to the All-CACC First team. Steven is currently a first baseman in independent professional baseball where he plays for the High Desert Yardbirds in the PECOS League in Adelanto, California; where he won the 2017 PECOS championship.

Hodgson Vocational Tech High School / Lincoln University / Neumann University
After a high school career consisting of being a three year varsity starter and Stena Cup team MVP winner, Matt was recruited by Lincoln University. After playing at Lincoln and earning CIAA player of the week (pitcher) accolades, Matt transferred to Neumann University. While at Neumann, Matt earned the CSAC player of the week award as well as several team game MVP shirts while pursuing an accounting degree. Matt has played and pitched in the DE semi-pro league since the age of 15 and has been an integral part of several championship wins within the league.

St. Marks High School / Wilmington University / Philadelphia Phillies
A graduate of St. Marks High School and ASBA alum, Phil went on to play collegiately for Wilmington University as a catcher and received his degree in Criminal Justice. In 2009, he was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 35th round and played two years in their farm system. Phil has been with ASBA since September 2010 and in addition to being an instructor, he’s also coached 10u and 17u teams for ASBA.

Colonel Richardson HS / Salisbury University
Meredith is from the Eastern Shore of Maryland. She attended Colonel Richardson High School where she played four years of varsity softball from 2008-2012. While in high school, she also played travel softball for Diamond State Swoop Blue. She competed at the collegiate level at Salisbury University. She graduated in 2016 with her Bachelors of Arts (Social Work) and has since moved to Wilmington, Delaware to obtain her Master’s degree in social work. She primarily pitched but played many positions over the years, enhancing her ability to teach all aspects of the game. She has been giving pitching, fielding and hitting lessons since 2015.

Geoff went to Archmere Academy where he played baseball all four years. During his time there, he led the Auks to the State Tournament during each of his final two seasons. Geoff earned first team All-Conference honors as a pitcher and utility player in 2010 and was selected to the second team All-State squad as well. Geoff played his collegiate ball at Penn State University.

Chris is a graduate of Holy Cross Academy, he then went on to be a four year starter at Alvernia University. In 2015 and 2016 he was First Team All MAC Conference as well as ECAC All-South Team. Prior to the 2016 season he was named to the D3 Baseball Players to watch list.

Luke Emling

Solanco High School / Villanova University / Millersville
Luke from Solanco High School in 2012 and was named to first team Pennsylvania All-State for OF. Luke attained a scholarship to play for Villanova University. At Villanova, he played outfield and DH and had a .333 BA his freshman year. He played summer ball in the Perfect Game League and made the All-Star team as an outfielder and holds thee Home Run records for the Perfect Game League. Luke trained with Tom House in California. After two years at Villanova, he transferred to Millersville University where he played for Coach Sheehan for a year. Luke graduated in May 2017 with a degree in Applied Engineering.

Natalie Lennox

Avon Grove High School / Post University
Natalie graduated Magna Cum Laude from Post University in May of 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts; Psychology focus in Education. She was four year infielder and outfielder while starting in 41 game since her freshman year. Natalie was named to the CACC All Academic Team all four years and was a two year Post LaMoy Female Athlete Award recipient. In 2016-2017, Natalie was team captain and was top five for runs scored, OBP, triples and fielding percentage. Natalie was a switch hitter with specialization in slap hitting, bunting, and power-hitting.

Island Trees High School / Fairleigh Dickinson University
Ryan grew up in New York and played varsity baseball at Island Trees High School. He went on to play Division 1 college ball at Fairleigh Dickinson University from 2012 – 2016. In 2012 he was a member of the NJCBA All-Rookie team, and in 2013 he was named 2013 NEC Pre-Season All-Conference. In 2014 he was the conference leader in Batting Average Against. Prior to joining ASBA Ryan worked as a coach and instructor at Long Island’s Baseball Heaven Steel Sports Academy. His personal philosophy is “Throw Strikes, Hit Strikes”.

Conestoga High School / West Chester University / University of Delaware
A graduate of Conestoga High School, Steve, who grew up taking lessons at ASBA, went on to play collegiately for West Chester University before transferring to the University Delaware where he played quarterback on the football team and was the closer on the baseball team. During his time at Delaware, Steve set the school record for career saves and strikeouts per nine innings.
Steve has been an instructor with ASBA since December 2013.

Caitlin was a 4 sport athlete at Little Flower catholic High School. She competed in Softball, Volleyball, Basketball & Bowling. She went on to play softball & volleyball at Chestnut Hill College where she was a two time all conference recipient in both sports. After graduating, Caitlin became the assistant coach at Chestnut Hill for two seasons. She then coached five years of high school softball for Abington Friends & Neuman Goretti.

Nick Ward

Unionville High School/Oakland Athletics
Nick is an ASBA alumni who played high school ball at Unionville High School. During his playing career, he has been an NCBWA Honorable Mention All-American, CCA Honorable Mention All-American, First Team All-PSAC, NCBWA First Team All-Atlantic Region, D2CCA All-Atlantic First Team, and Atlantic-ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Team (First Team). He led the team and the PSAC with 69 runs scored and 1.44 runs per game (No. 3 nationally) and also played and started in all 48 games. Nick batted .364 with 59 hits, 11 doubles and a team-high four triples and 13 homers.
Nick was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the 2018 MLB 1st Year Player Draft and played in the Arizona Rookie League A and with the AAA Nashville Sounds.
