Taylor Allen

Hitting, Fielding, Catching

Rising Sun HS / Widener University

Taylor graduated from Rising Sun High School and went on to play softball at Widener University, where she was a member of their team that made an appearance in the NCAA DIII National Championship in 2017. That year, Taylor was also a member of the Cortland NY Regional All-Tournament team. Over the course of her career, Taylor was a 4-time NFLA All-American Scholar Athlete, a 4-time MAC Academic Honor Roll Student, and she appeared in the MAC Tournament three times. Taylor graduated from Widener Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and is a recipient of the National Engaged Leader Award.

Alex Injaian

Cherry Hill West/Rutgers Camden

Alex was a three year starter at Cherry Hill West, twice being named All Olympic Conference and South Jersey All Group III. Additionally, he was named to the Carpenter Cup roster in 2011. Alex was a three year letterman on the basketball team as well. He then went on to play baseball at Rutgers-Camden. Alex has 6 years of coaching experience, both with Cherry Hill American Legion and as an assistant coach for his Alma Mater, Cherry Hill West, where he helped guide them to a South Jersey championship in 2019.

Mike Lascomb

Hitting/Fielding

Potomac Falls High School/Immaculata University

Mike played high school baseball at Potomac Falls High School in Northern Virginia.  In high school, he was named to the AA All-State Team in Virginia as a 1B in both his junior and senior year.  His junior year he hit .586 with 19 doubles over 20 games being named Loudoun County Player of the Year and 2nd Team All-Met.  He went on to play collegiately at Immaculata Univeristy in Malvern, PA.  At Immaculata, he was a 4-year starter playing 1B and OF and a two-time all-conference selection.  He holds a career batting average over .300 and is currently 4th in hits, 3rd in RBIs and 2nd in games played on the school’s all-time record books.  Mike previously was a travel coach for the Evoshields Canes Organization out of Harrisburg, Virginia coaching ages 14U to 18U in high level events throughout the east coast.

A graduate of St. Mark’s High School, Robb went on to play collegiately at Keystone College where he was a three-year letterman.

Sean Quick

West Deptford High School / Wesley College

Sean was a Middle Infielder for four years at Wesley College. During his time there he earned All Conference accolades from 2005-2006. Prior to his time at Wesley Sean graduated from West Deptford High School and participated in the American Legion World Series.

Josh Rickards

Cardinal O’Hara High School / Marist College / Lake Erie Crushers

A graduate of Cardinal O’Hara High School, Josh went on to play collegiately for Marist College where he was First-Team All-Conference, All-Northeast Second-Team and Marist Player of the Year. Following his collegiate career, Josh played professionally in Europe, as well as for the Lake Erie Crushers.

Ian Roth

Wilson High School / Eastern University

Ian grew up playing travel baseball in Berks County, PA and pitched for Wilson High School. He played collegiate ball at Eastern university where he was a left handed pitcher and was named to the Academic MAC Honor Roll. Throughout his baseball career, Ian has relied on his ability to keep hitters “off-balance” in relief and starting roles. His favorite accomplishment in baseball was pitching 4 shutout innings in relief to secure the win against the #1 team in the state in high school.

Justin Watson

Penn Wood High School/ University of Maryland Eastern Shore
Justin has over 12 years of coaching experience at the high school and collegiate level. As a freshman in high school, Justin was named a rising star by the Delco Times and set records for stolen bases. Justin is currently the Head Coach for Penn Wood High School. He was the team captain for the University of Maryland Eastern Shore playing Catcher & 2B and became the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Assistant Coach after graduation. When coaching at the collegiate level, Justin ran camps and lead local recruiting, helping many athletes through the recruitment process.

West Virginia Wesleyan / Monterey Amberjacks / California City Whiptails / Salina Stockade

After being 1st Team All-Conference in High School, Mark played baseball for DII West Virginia Wesleyan. He then went on to play two seasons of Independent League ball and started his career by batting .440 in spring training. He considers earning the title of “Professional Baseball Player” one of his greatest accomplishments,  and he believes that the harder you work, the better the results will be.

Chris French

Middletown HS South / Salem University

Chris was a four-year varsity player for Middletown HS South, where he was apart of the 2011 NJ Group III State Championship team. In Chris’ senior year, he was selected for the All-Shore Conference team as a pitcher. After high school, Chris signed a scholarship to play for Salem University, a Division II school in West Virginia. Since college, Chris has been coaching youth baseball for several years.

Adam Tussey

Gloucester City High School / Rider University / The College of New Jersey

Adam was an all-state shortstop in 2005 for Gloucester City High School. A member of the 2005 Mid-Atlantic Regional Champions and World Series participant for Brooklawn American Legion, Adam made 1st Team All Legion in 2005. He graduated from The College of New Jersey, and was 2009 Hot Stovers D3 player of the year. Adam is currently the head baseball coach for Gloucester Catholic High School, where they were 2017 and 2018 state champions.

Alex Kramer

Cherry Hill East High School / Wilkes University

Alex is a product of Cherry Hill East High School Baseball, where he was a Camden County All-Star his senior year as well as the David J. Martin Sportsmanship Award recipient. After high school Alex continued his baseball career at Wilkes University where played seven of the nine positions in the field in four years.

Jake Reeder

Riverside Township High School / Montclair State University

Jake attended High School at Riverside, he later went on to play collegiate baseball at Burlington County College before transferring to Montclair State University. Jake’s greatest accomplishments were winning two state championships at Riverside High School. He also finished his College Career with an above .900 Fielding %.  He is available for hitting and fielding lessons. Jake is a full time police officer and also enjoys working out in his spare time.

Zach Welsher

Audubon High School / Rutgers- Camden

In 2011 Zach was an Group 1 State Champion at Audubon HS, 2012 Group 1 at Audubon HS, First-Time All-Conference in 2013 at Audubon HS, 2013 American Legion National Champion with the Brooklawn American Legion Team. Lead team in strikeouts for Rutgers-Camden in 2017 with 57 K’s in 55 innings. Zach’s philosophy is in a big game or a pressure situation, don’t underestimate the power of your breath. Don’t be afraid to step out of the box or step off the mound, take a deep breath and reset. Stay Composed so that you’re ready to compete and you’re ready to succeed.

Steve Whitaker

Kingsway Regional High School / Davis and Elkins College

A graduate of Kingsway Regional High School where he was a three-year varsity starter as a shortstop. Steve went on to play collegiately at Davis and Elkins College for two years as a shortstop and second baseman. Unfortunately, Steve was unable to finish his college baseball career due to injury. Before joining All-Star Baseball Academy, Steve coached high school summer baseball for three years.

James is from Bethlehem PA. He earned a Bachelors degree in Sports Management from Alvernia University. He broke the Alvernia University record for most runners thrown out, and most runners picked off in a single season. His brother is a professional wrestler and he is a die hard Red Sox fan.

Zac Burke

Penn Manor HS / Coastal Carolina / USC Beaufort

Zach played high school baseball at Penn Manor HS where he was the 11th Ranked RHP in Pennsylvania in 2013. He went on to sign with Coastal Carolina University to play baseball there. While in college, Zac’s summer collegiate team – Top Speed – was ranked 5th in the nation and had a 43-3 record. Zac also says that signing his professional contract with the EPBL was one of accomplishments in his baseball career.

Chadd was a graduate of Downingtown East High School and then went on to be a walk on player at LaSalle University where he hit .515 during the 2017 season. At LaSalle he received a bachelors degree in Marketing while completing a minor in Journalism.

Charlie DeLuzio

Norristown High School / University of Nevada – Las Vegas

Charlie DeLuzio played his high school baseball at Norristown HS where he had one of his favorite memories as a baseball player – hitting 3 home runs in a single game against Plymouth Whitemarsh. While he was there, he was named to 1st Team All-State and 1st Team All-Suburban One. After high school, Charlie went on to play at University of Nevada – Las Vegas. Charlie has also spent time as the head baseball coach at Spring-Ford HS and St. Pius X. His personal philosophy is to teach athletes to play the game the right way by teaching fundamental baseball – move runners, put pressure on the defense, and stay aggressive!

Bishop Shanahan High School / York College

A graduate of Bishop Shanahan High School, Keith was a four-year varsity starter at shortstop and pitcher. He was a two-year team captain and MVP, and was a three-time SCCL First Team and two-time All-Area First Team. Keith went on to play collegiately at York College where he earned his degree in Marketing. While at York, Keith earned All-South Region Second Team pitching honors during his senior season and was a part of the winningest team in school history.

Downingtown East HS / Elizabethtown College

Dan played baseball at Downingtown East High School where he was part of the Chesmont Champion team his senior year, and he was also part of the All-Chesmont team that year. He went on to play at Elizabethtown College where he threw a shutout against Shenandoah University his sophomore year. Dan is currently in a Masters’ Program and Air Force ROTC at Saint Joseph’s University.

Kenny Jarema

Misericordia University

Kenny graduated from Misericordia University with a Bachelors Degree in Sports Management. He was the 2019 MAC Freedom Player of the Year as well as the 2019 Misericordia Male Athlete of the Year. Kenny considers his greatest accomplishment in baseball being a 2019 D3 All American. His personal philosophy is, “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard”.

A graduate of Penn State Altoona and Mansfield University, Dennis was team captain at PSU Altoona for two years, and a 1st team All-AMCC and 2nd team All-AMCC. He also coached at the Glen Mills School for five years.

Sarah was a three year starter at Twin Valley HS where she won two county medals and one district title. Her best memory from her playing days was getting the game winning hit in the district title game. Sarah’s personal philosophy is “work hard, try your best, and have fun!”

Jamie Roop

Brandywine High School / Widener University

Jamie Roop played high school baseball at Brandywine High School where he was a 2-year captain and was named 1st Team All-Conference. He went on to attend Widener University and then became a baseball coach. Jamie considers appearing in the Delaware state tournament as both a player and a coach to be his greatest accomplishment in baseball. His personal philosophy is that a strong player-coach relationship is the backbone to any team success.

Matt Zoltak

Plymouth-Whitemarsh HS / Clemson University / Florida Southern College

After playing high school ball at Plymouth-Whitemarsh, Matt went on to play at Clemson University from 2007-2008 where he pitched in 27 games. After playing at Clemson, he played one year at Florida Southern College before moving on to play independent ball. In 2010, he played for the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks who went on to win the Northern League Championship that year. Matt was also selected to play in the Cape Cod Collegiate Baseball League in 2008.

Dallastown High School / Lock Haven University

Tyler was a pitcher at Lock Haven University while obtaining a Bachelors in Sports Management along with a Masters degree in Pre-Law. He was an assistant coach for his American Legion team during the summers of 2010 and 2011. As a lead instructor on many of our programs, he is also available for private pitching instruction for Little League players.

Joe Clancy

The Lawrenceville School / Eastern University

Joe Clancy is a Hopewell Valley (NJ) native. He played locally at The Lawrenceville School and received honors in the Mid-Atlantic Prep League. Joe went on to play collegiately at Eastern University and graduated in 2017. At Eastern Joe pitched, became a senior captain, and helped the team reach its first MAC-Freedom conference playoff berth in program history. Coach Clancy has returned to Eastern and is currently serving as an Assistant Coach and works with the pitching staff.

After playing locally at Council Rock South, Jeff went on to play at Wesley College. He is in his 4th year with All Star and is available for hitting and pitching lessons.

David Drea is a graduate of Ursinus College, where he started for four years as a left handed pitcher. Prior to college, Drea played at All-Star and was a member of its recruiting showcase teams. When he’s not playing and coaching baseball, he’s watching the Phillies, working on his advising business and trying to be the best coach he can be!

Ben has an endless amount of energy that he channels into his passion for baseball. His vivacious personality and refined baseball skills landed him the 2015 Male Athlete of the Year award at Northampton Community College. In addition to giving private instruction, Ben also coaches our 10u and 13u teams.

Eric grew up locally and attended Hatboro-Horsham High School where he was a 2 year varsity starter. In addition to playing at Hatboro-Horsham, Eric was also a member of the ASBA Futures Program. Eric is now an infielder at Neumann University.

Notre Dame High School (NJ) / University of Notre Dame / Mercer University

Blaise was an ACC All-Academic student athlete at the University of Notre Dame. As a graduate student at Mercer University his team led the NCAA in home runs. Growing up he was a member of the 2005 Mid-Atlantic Little League World Series team.

Gabrielle Oruska

Garnet Valley High School/Rider University
Gabrielle went to Garnet Valley High School where she was a four-year letter winner, first team All-Central, as well as second team All-Delco. She then continued her softball career at Rider University, earning her bachelors degree in Business Administration and Marketing. Gabrielle was primarily a 1st baseman known for her power at the plate.

Kyle Rogalski

Roman Catholic High School / Misericordia University

Kyle played 4 years at Roman Catholic High School, and then went on to play 4 years at Misericordia University. He won 4 Middle Atlantic Conference Championships and went to the DIII College World Series in 2018. He coaches multiple teams at ASBA and is available for hitting, pitching, and fielding lessons.

Eric Ruth

North Penn High School / Winthrop University / New York Yankees

Eric was a graduate of North Penn High School and a member of the 2009 PIAA State Championship team. He then went on to spend four years at Winthrop University. Following his senior year, he signed as a free agent with the New York Yankees in 2013. In 2015 he earned a spot on the Eastern League AA All Star team. During his five seasons in the organization, he was able to make it to AAA.

Alex Shapiro

William Tennent High School / Jefferson University

Alex has been playing baseball since he was four years old and went on to play 4 years at Jefferson university. At Jefferson, he was a varsity player for 3 years where his team made it to the CACC Championships. Alex believes everything in life is earned and being able to excel in baseball is no different. One of his favorite mottos is “If not me, Then who” He demonstrates this sentiment in his everyday life through coaching part-time and being a volunteer fire-fighter.

Steven Wells

The Hun School / Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute / Philadelphia University

Steven is a graduate of Philadelphia University, now known as Thomas Jefferson University. He was a three year starter at PhilaU from 2015-2017. He transferred from Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute after his first year there from 2013-2014. While at PhilaU he was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association DII All-American Third Team. Steven was also named the American Baseball Coaches Association DII All-East Region Player of the Year and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association DII All-East Region Player of the Year all in 2017. At a conference level in 2017, he was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Year and to the All-CACC First team. Steven is currently a first baseman in independent professional baseball where he plays for the High Desert Yardbirds in the PECOS League in Adelanto, California; where he won the 2017 PECOS championship.

Matt Anderson

Pitching, Fielding

Hodgson Vocational Tech High School / Lincoln University / Neumann University

After a high school career consisting of being a three year varsity starter and Stena Cup team MVP winner, Matt was recruited by Lincoln University. After playing at Lincoln and earning CIAA player of the week (pitcher) accolades, Matt transferred to Neumann University. While at Neumann, Matt earned the CSAC player of the week award as well as several team game MVP shirts while pursuing an accounting degree. Matt has played and pitched in the DE semi-pro league since the age of 15 and has been an integral part of several championship wins within the league.

Mike Anthony

Pitching

Methacton High School / Northampton CC / Lock Haven University / Florence Freedom

Mike played high school baseball at Methacton High School in Eagleville, PA and then went on to play at Northampton CC where he was name a 2014 3rd Team All-NJCAA pitcher. He then went on to play at Lock Haven University, and was named 2016 LHU Pitcher of the Year, and played in the 2017 PSAC Championships. In 2017, Mike signed a professional contract to play with the Florence Freedom of the Frontier League.

Geoff Boylston

Archmere Academy / Penn State University 

Geoff went to Archmere Academy where he played baseball all four years. During his time there, he led the Auks to the State Tournament during each of his final two seasons. Geoff earned first team All-Conference honors as a pitcher and utility player in 2010 and was selected to the second team All-State squad as well. Geoff played his collegiate ball at Penn State University.

Chris Burns

Holy Cross Academy / Alvernia University

Chris is a graduate of Holy Cross Academy, he then went on to be a four year starter at Alvernia University. In 2015 and 2016 he was First Team All MAC Conference as well as ECAC All-South Team. Prior to the 2016 season he was named to the D3 Baseball Players to watch list.

Luke Emling

Hitting, Fielding, Strength and Conditioning

Solanco High School / Villanova University / Millersville

Luke from Solanco High School in 2012 and was named to first team Pennsylvania All-State for OF. Luke attained a scholarship to play for Villanova University. At Villanova, he played outfield and DH and had a .333 BA his freshman year. He played summer ball in the Perfect Game League and made the All-Star team as an outfielder and holds thee Home Run records for the Perfect Game League. Luke trained with Tom House in California. After two years at Villanova, he transferred to Millersville University where he played for Coach Sheehan for a year. Luke graduated in May 2017 with a degree in Applied Engineering.

Alex Halladay

Bayard Rustin High School / Wilkes University

Alex graduated from Bayard Rustin High School in 2016 earning All-Chesmont honors as a senior while helping the Golden Knights capture a league championship. He is currently going into his senior year at Wilkes University and has primarily served as a designated hitter for the Colonels batting .370 in his sophomore campaign and finishing his junior season as the team leader in pinch hits. Alex started Wilkes’ first MAC tournament game since 2009, and currently holds a career batting average of .411.

Natalie Lennox

Hitting, Fielding, Pitching, Slap Hitting

Avon Grove High School / Post University

Natalie graduated Magna Cum Laude from Post University in May of 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts; Psychology focus in Education. She was four year infielder and outfielder while starting in 41 game since her freshman year. Natalie was named to the CACC All Academic Team all four years and was a two year Post LaMoy Female Athlete Award recipient. In 2016-2017, Natalie was team captain and was top five for runs scored, OBP, triples and fielding percentage. Natalie was a switch hitter with specialization in slap hitting, bunting, and power-hitting.

Matt was a graduate of Washington Township High School in New Jersey, where he was a two-time All-Conference pitcher, and two-time Carpenter selection. Matt played his collegiate ball at Montclair State University where he was a three-year starter as a second baseman, designated hitter and pitcher.

Ryan MacDonald

Island Trees High School / Fairleigh Dickinson University

Ryan grew up in New York and played varsity baseball at Island Trees High School. He went on to play Division 1 college ball at Fairleigh Dickinson University from 2012 – 2016. In 2012 he was a member of the NJCBA All-Rookie team, and in 2013 he was named 2013 NEC Pre-Season All-Conference. In 2014 he was the conference leader in Batting Average Against. Prior to joining ASBA Ryan worked as a coach and instructor at Long Island’s Baseball Heaven Steel Sports Academy. His personal philosophy is “Throw Strikes, Hit Strikes”.

Jason McCormick

West Chester Henderson High School / Immaculata University

Jason is a Henderson High School Graduate, where he played basketball and baseball for four years. He went on to play collegiate baseball at Immaculata University. Jason was a four year starter at Immaculata, and four year accolade winner. He holds records for most games played, started and scored runs, and is second in hits.

A graduate of West Chester Henderson High School, Ryan went on to play collegiately at Millersville University where he was a four-year starter at second base. Ryan was named an All-American in 2009, and played in the 2011 College World Series.

Matt was a graduate of Twin Valley High School where he was an All Division pitcher his junior year. He went on to play at Emory and Henry College. Matt was able to make an impact from the start there as he earned Pitcher of the week during March of his freshman year.

Tim went to Owen J. Roberts High School where he earned 1st Team All Conference and All State awards in 2010 and 2011. He then went on to play at St. Joes and was drafted in 2011 by the Philadelphia Phillies.

Kayla Quinn

William Penn Charter / Ursinus College

Kayla attended high school at William Penn Charter School, where she was a 4 year starter as a pitcher and infielder. She received first team All Interac 3 years, and All Southeastern PA honors her senior year while helping Penn Charter to their first Independent School State title. Kayla continued her career at Ursinus College, in which she was a 4 year starter in the middle infield and received first team All Centennial Conference her senior year.

Steve Richter (Level II)

Conestoga High School / West Chester University / University of Delaware 

A graduate of Conestoga High School, Steve, who grew up taking lessons at ASBA, went on to play collegiately for West Chester University before transferring to the University Delaware where he played quarterback on the football team and was the closer on the baseball team. During his time at Delaware, Steve set the school record for career saves and strikeouts per nine innings.

Steve has been an instructor with ASBA since December 2013.

Scott Stevens

Downingtown East High School / Millersville University

A graduate of Downingtown East High School, Scott went on to play collegiately at Millersville University where he earned a degree in Business Administration. He was a member on the 2011 DII College World Series team. Scott currently still plays in the West Chester Adult Baseball League.

Dylan Stracke 

Sanford College Prep School / University of Delaware  

Catching, Pitching, Hitting

Dylan went to Sanford School where he started on the varsity team for all four years. His high school batting average was .375 which helped him earn all-conference as a catcher for three of those years. He went on to compete at the University of Delaware for one year before he was sidelined from injuries. He has since coached three years at the middle school and high school JV and Varsity level at the Sanford School. He is now furthering his studies at the Delaware Law School.

Harry S Truman High School (Levittown) / Lincoln Memorial University 
Matt was a 4 year letter winner at Truman. After Truman Matt was recruited by Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee. While being apart of a team who won 2 Conference Championships (2017 & 2018), and had 3 straight regional appearances (2017-2019). Matt had a career era of 3.5.

Nick Ward

Hitting, Fielding

Unionville High School/Oakland Athletics

Nick is an ASBA alumni who played high school ball at Unionville High School. During his playing career, he has been an NCBWA Honorable Mention All-American,  CCA Honorable Mention All-American, First Team All-PSAC, NCBWA First Team All-Atlantic Region, D2CCA All-Atlantic First Team, and Atlantic-ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Team (First Team). He led the team and the PSAC with 69 runs scored and 1.44 runs per game (No. 3 nationally) and also played and started in all 48 games. Nick batted .364 with 59 hits, 11 doubles and a team-high four triples and 13 homers.

Nick was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the 2018 MLB 1st Year Player Draft and played in the Arizona Rookie League A and with the AAA Nashville Sounds.
